Tipler’s Tidy Tipple…

Tiplers_tidy_tipple

The packing’s going well, but we needed a little helping hand to boost morale and motivation, so I created this…

OK, so here it is, fresh from the kitchen, 5 mins from start to glass…I give you ‘Tipler’s Tidy Tipple’…

You’ll need (serves two):

1 Pineapple

1 Lemon

1 Orange

1 Lime

Splash of water

2 shots of Navy Rum

2 shots of Amaretto

Method:
Prepare the pineapple by removing the skin and zuzzing well with a zuzzer (one of those handheld blender things in case you were wondering). Add a little water to help the zuzz and then sieve into a clean bowl.

Squeeze the lemon, orange and half the lime and add to this mixture.

Add the rum and amaretto and zuzz further until frothy.

Pour over LOADS of ice and add a couple of slices of lime.

YES!!!

…a curious, crepuscular fruitbody reminded me today of our first collaboration, several years back. What a memory of the spores that were spread, the very fibres of Kinokophone…we have a lot more to come, the mycelium’s grounding its spread and has a plan deep in its vibrating peripheral roots. Watchout sonicologists, as one Mancunian once said “Kinoko’s comin’ at ya!” Honest…

Just found a few pics of several mic placements I made for AOTBE in Ecuador last summer. Still working with the recordings but I’m generally pretty pleased with the results.

Leaving the lint…

The time has come to move on from Manchester, so myself and trusty sidekick have decided to flee to the hills of Southern France.

I am going to explore some of my ideas and hopefully get sucked in to some new descoveries that await at the foothills of the Pyrenees. However, I will continue my work in sound and would welcome enquiries about production sound and/or audio post for documentary so please drop me an email. I will have a limited amount of equipment with me in order to do this and will remain flexible wherever a project requires this.

Please spread the word – I won’t be able to survive forever without some work, well at least my cheese habit won’t!

Exploring Divcibare, Serbia…

I had the opportunity to spend a couple of days in this small ski town south of Belgrade. Armed with an Edirol R-1 with no windjammer or headphones, I set about exploring the area. This is collection of some of my recordings…
